Here is a list of some things that not only bring me pleasure, but helps me to "re-energize" so that I have more of myself to pour back into my family and artwork.
1. Reading a good book
Just love the books, you know, the ones that you can't put down. Here's a series that I still find myself thinking about. It's called Chronicles of The Kings by Lynn Austin.
2. Playing Tennis, Long Walks and Bike Rides
Being in nature , breathing the fresh air and exercise are ways to clear my mind and always seems to give me renewed energy.
3. Favorite Verses
Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Romans 8:28 " And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him..."
4. Flowers/Gardens
Some of my earliest memories are of my grandparent's garden. It was a magical place to me, filled with all kinds of flowers, vegetables and trees too. Even today, certain colors or smells takes me back to these sweet memories. Picking just one favorite flower is just too difficult - I can't choose - but I will start with the giant sunflower, yellow roses, soft pink peonies, fluffy hydrangeas, oh tulips...maybe I should just tell you the ones I don't like...hmmm....none : )
5. "True Story" Movies
Life is much more exciting to me than make believe. I never get tired of true story movies and I have a long list of favorites. Here's one to start, but I'll be adding more...
"Woman in Gold" is about a gorgeous painting that was taken during WWII and the quest to have it returned to it's proper owner!
